 CPW - Certified Protocol Writer

The NORMI Certified Protocol Writer (CPW) has been trained as an Assessor and understands the remediation concepts that support the IICRC S5200, IICRC S520, NYC Guildelines, and EPA Standards. Based on the NORMI Proctored Examination, this experienced and well-trained professional develops a protocol that follows industry standards and supports the NORMI Certificate of Sanitization program, assuring the client that the project will be done correctly and according to General Accepted Industry Standards. The CPW develops a Scope of Work that protects the Remediator from down-side litigation and the homeowner from the recurrence of mold infestation.

What you'll learn...

"Assessors are trained in the inspection or assessment process, how to interpret lab reports, sanitization and remediation techniques. Some have actually been trained in the remediation process by doning PPE, establishing containment and creating negative pressure in hands-on classes. However, we have learned that there is a significant gap between the assessment process and the remediation process that can only be filled by the assessor-the writing of the Mold Remediation Protocol. Insurance adjusters and Remediators expect the Assessor to assume liability for a well-written protocol so the Remediator can focus on PRV (post remediation verification). This class provides that training and bridges the gap between the inspection process and the remediation project." D. Douglas Hoffman, Executive Director of NORMI

Why this class is so practical...

"A poorly written protocol can increase project costs for the client and create liability for the contractor. Understanding how to fit the IICRC, NY City Guidelines and NORMI Standards into a properly written gives confidence to the Remediator, client and insurance adjustor." Lance Eisen, State of Florida Certified Mold Assessor
