Monroe Infrared Technology -- Training Partner
NORMI has partnered with one of the oldest and best-recognized Infrared training and services companies in the country in Monroe Infrared. With 30+ years of IR inspections and 25 years teaching IR classes, they are a respected Veteran Owned and Veteran Supporting small business. Monroe Infrared is a BPI (Building Performance Institute) approved training provider. Their 2-day Infrared Course titled Certified Residential Thermography earns students 8 BPI CEUs. To date classes have been approved for credit & recognition in the states of FL, TX, GA, NY, TN and are approved for continuing education credits through association with NAHI, CREIA, ASHI, TAREI, GAHI, SEHI, IICRC and NYSAHI. There are no pre-requisites for the 2-day Infrared class nor is there a requirement to own an Infrared camera prior to attending. Roughly half of all students come to class with their own thermal imager. Monroe Infrared will provide some demo IR cameras for students to borrow and try out during class. With increased confidence in thermal imaging students often purchase an IR camera after attending class knowing they can differentiate from competition and increase their revenue. No requirements or pre-reading, etc. Students just need to attend, pay attention and plan to participate as these classes will have you handling and using an Infrared camera for different applications related to your industry. Classes are kept small and instructors work to get everyone involved in discussions, asking questions and sharing ideas as well as applying what they are learning in labs and hands-on exercises.
"Not being able to see with your eyes what an infrared camera can show you is no longer acceptable! Infrared is a very powerful and affordable tool that helps you find and identify today what could be a much bigger issue to your customer (or your customer's customer) tomorrow. " Christopher Casey President Monroe Infrared Technology
NORMI, the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors, offers an additional and unique certification for thermographers who want to promote their training in the specific area of IR moisture interpretation. The NORMI CMT (Certified Moisture Thermographer) requires additional training and other criteria as itemized in the member section at www.NORMI.org.
This two-day class is geared to the new Infrared camera user and veteran camera owner as well. The course focuses on thermal imager use for Residential Inspection, Building & Remodeling Professionals. Students complete the course with a much stronger understanding of Thermal Imaging capabilities and applications as well as the confidence and competence to immediately put that knowledge in use. Residential as well as commercial customers are getting smarter and expecting infrared be utilized as one of the best tools available to provide them the highest quality inspection or information. Owning and Understanding How To Use an Infrared Camera is quickly becoming expected for Residential Building Professionals just as much as they are expected to utilize a Flashlight in dark areas. Infrared allows people to identify thermal anomalies that might not otherwise be detected. "Not being able to see with your eyes what the infrared camera can show you is no longer acceptable". Infrared is a powerful tool that helps you find today what could be a much bigger issue tomorrow and can help you STAND OUT as a valuable resource and partner to your customers.
This certification is provided to active members of NORMI, the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors, who have demonstrated proficiency in the use of Infrared imaging and completed the following training requirements (additional criteria may be required for certification). Once certified through the www.NORMI.org member section, the certification appears on the www.NORMIPro.com Prolocator as long as the member remains active and certified.
