PSP - NORMI Professional Screening Partners Program

NORMI Professional Screening Partners Program

IAQ BlueprintWhat business are you in? If you sell indoor air quality products and services you better be trained on assessing indoor environments. Are you? Consider this-indoor air quality or, more importantly, poor indoor air quality is a problem that plagues millions of Americans today. Multiple surveys conducted by professional contracting associations, medical organizations, and IAQ groups estimate that over fifty percent of homes and businesses in the United States have poor indoor air quality that affect the health of people that live and work in those spaces. Negative health effects range from chronic ailments like asthma and pneumonia, to irritant reactions like coughing, sneezing, itchy skin, runny noses, and watery eyes. To effectively improve the air within these unhealthy environments, the first step must be to assess them so that the causes of poor indoor air can be defined. If, through assessment, causes for poor indoor air can be delivered, the proper solutions can be developed to secure healthy indoor air environments.

Survey BubblePresently less than 5% of the homes and businesses, currently having significant indoor air quality problems, have been assessed. Environmental consultants, certified industrial hygienists, and certified mold inspectors commonly charge $600-$1000 for assessment services. Homeowners want to have their homes assessed for possible indoor air quality problems. They just don't want to spend that much money. So basically we have millions of Americans that want their homes assessed and the only barrier to assessment is money. NORMI has designed the Professional Screening Partner program to rectify this dilemma. Now homeowners can assess their homes for as little as $99. This assessment will include sampling and the assistance of a NORMI Professional Screening Partner. The PSP Program is the first step homeowners must take to develop solutions to serious indoor air quality problems.

SurveyHere's how it works. PSP partners will distribute IAQ surveys throughout communities. Homeowners will fill out the surveys and qualify themselves as candidates for assessment. PSP partners will then provide homeowners with assessment kits and assist the customers in the IAQ assessment and sampling of their indoor environments which will include heating and cooling systems, general living areas, and water prone areas. Dust and swab samples will be collected and sent to a laboratory for analysis. The NORMI Top 40 Indoor Air Contaminant checklist will be reviewed and completed documenting observed contaminants within the home. Then the Top 10 IAQ Solutions to indoor air contaminants will be discussed between the customer and the PSP partner. Once the laboratory results are received, the PSP partner and the homeowner will review the assessment report, the Top 40 Contaminant checklist, and the laboratory report to develop the IAQ Blueprint. The IAQ Blueprint will record all defined documented IAQ problems within the home and match appropriate IAQ solutions to those problems. Finally, an implementation schedule including mechanical IAQ management systems, cleaning protocols, and, where necessary, structural repairs will be designed to secure a healthy indoor air environment.

.The NORMI Professional Screening Partner program is the entry level IAQ assessment program designed specifically for contractors and IAQ sales professionals. The program is a solution-based assessment program to match product solutions with discovered and defined IAQ problems. PSP is the only entry-level solution-based assessment training program available to IAQ contractors and sales professionals today. If you are an HVAC sales person, IAQ sales professional, home inspector, or assessor you need this course. Improve yourself as a credentialed professional. Help millions of Americans improve their health through solution-based assessment. Become a NORMI trained and certified Professional Screening Partner today.
